This Hikvision wireless PIR curtain detector can be mounted on both the inside and outside of the house. In doing so, it can be mounted on a wall vertically, but it can also be made horizontally on the ceiling.

Mounted on a wall, the Hikvision PIR curtain detector can monitor an area of 10 metres from the sensor for movement at a 5-degree angle. So this detector is ideal for securing specific areas, such as along windows or doors. If you mount it on the ceiling, this detector can see 5 metres in all directions, also at a 5-degree angle.

The sensitivity is adjustable via the Hik-Connect application on your smartphone. There are 2 modes in total, automatic and animal-friendly. The latter should be chosen if cats or dogs are present in the room to be protected, or if the detector is mounted outside in an area where cats also roam regularly.

Mounting height

The ideal height to mount the PIR curtain detector is between 2 metres and 3.50 metres high. If you mount the PIR curtain detector lower than the advised height, it will react sooner to pets and the detection distance will also decrease. Of course, all installation supplies are included.

Registration and installation

All Hikvision products are easy to connect. Logging in is done with a QR code on each device. Do you have several detectors you want to log in at the same time? Then use the handy "enroll" function so you don't have to scan a single QR code. Activate "Enroll", turn on the detector, and the pairing is a reality.

Mount the detector on a wall or ceiling and make sure there are no vases, cabinets or glass objects blocking the angle of view.

Battery-operated

The detector, like all Hikvision AX Pro alarm system products, operates on CR123A type batteries and is therefore completely wireless. They can therefore easily be placed anywhere without having to lay cables. The service life of the batteries supplied as standard is 5 years under normal use. After this time, they can easily be replaced for new ones for a few euros.
