New developments from AJAX Systems
We have recently learned about the latest developments at AJAX Systems, manufacturer of one of the world's most popular wireless security systems. It appears that the wishes of the market are well listened to.
The a few years ago completely unknown Ukrainian manufacturer AJAX Systems developed in eight years into a multinational company with operations in 78 countries and some 600 employees, including more than 100 developers. This is mainly thanks to the particularly attractive design of the components painted in high-gloss white or black, but also to the high-quality technology built around a versatile app. Ajax Systems has been on the Benelux market as a brand for about two years now and has seen its popularity soar in that short time.
New Developments
AJAX Systems was the first to present several new developments, such as the panic transmitter to which a programmable function button has been added. This can be used to control lights or a roller shutter, but it can also be used to program a complete scenario of actions. Also new is an outdoor detector with two PIR elements, both of which must respond to prevent unnecessary alarms from animals, for example. The new curtain detector with a detection range of 5º is currently only suitable for indoors, but a weatherproof version will be available next year. Burglars are then detected even as they approach the secured object.
People may want to leave windows ajar in their absence. With the new detector DoorProtect, you can. It bridges the magnetic contact and goes into alarm when the window is closed or opened further.
Under development is a hub (that is, the hub of each system) that can be powered by 12V, making it suitable for monitoring cars, boats and caravans. For retailers, there will be a panic button that can be used to set scenarios in motion, such as quickly closing compartments in the event of a robbery. And for larger objects, use the new Hub Plus, which can accommodate 25 detection groups, 99 users and 149 components.

In addition, AJAX announced the Motion Cam. This is a motion detector that transmits pictures of the alarm situation. This is done via a separate stream at 2.4 GHz, while the alarm runs via the usual 868 MHz. Both signals reach the user's smartphone or control room terminal via the secure AJAX Cloud.
There will also be major expansions in the area of home automation, and it will be possible to use AJAX devices to control an electromechanical lock starting in 2020. A doorbell/intercom will also be added and the wireless detectors will come with EN54 certification starting next year. Another special feature will be the introduction of a hybrid hub, to which wired detectors (from other manufacturers) can therefore also be connected.
